How to Choose the Right Overseas Trade Fair: 7 Questions

Seven questions to answer before you commit to a fair.

Published: 4 min read

The wrong fair wastes even a great stand. Before you decide, answer these seven questions:

  1. Which country do I want to sell to? The host country and neighbouring markets should match your goals.
  2. Who are the visitors? Look at the visitor and exhibitor figures published by the organiser, and at visitors' breakdown by sector and job title.
  3. Are my competitors there? If past exhibitor lists include Turkish companies from your sector, market interest has already been tested.
  4. Is the fair on the government support list? Being on the Ministry's list significantly reduces the cost.
  5. What is the total cost? Add up space rental, stand, shipping, travel and accommodation, then deduct the support from that total.
  6. Do I have enough time to prepare? Booking space, visas and stand construction can take months.
  7. Are visa and travel conditions workable? Your team needs to be able to travel on time.

Our Approach

On our fair pages we bring together the organiser's official data, past Turkish exhibitors and the Ministry's support amounts for each fair. Explore the fair calendar.
