Trade Fair Support Application: Steps and 3-Month Deadline

Overseas trade fair support is claimed after the fair, not before it. If the application is not submitted on time and with complete documents, you may lose your entitlement. Here are the steps:

1. Check That the Fair Is Covered

For individual participation, the fair must be on the Ministry's published list of supported sectoral fairs. You can request that a fair not on the list be added through the Support Management System (DYS) no later than 1 month before the fair opens; acceptance is at the Ministry's discretion.

2. Who Can Apply?

Companies that are members of an exporters' association and producer-manufacturers established in Türkiye are eligible. A capacity report or certificate of activity is usually required; trading companies can apply on the basis of a marketing agreement with the manufacturer.

3. Follow the Rules During the Fair

• Your stand must be open and ready on the first day of the fair.
• Products must not be packed away before the fair ends.
• Expenses must be paid through banking channels; cash payments cause problems.
• Invoices, contracts and payment records should be gathered in one file during the fair.

4. Apply Within 3 Months of the Fair

The application is made through DYS with the documents listed in the annex to the Circular and must be submitted within 3 months of the fair's closing date. The deadline is based on the date the application is submitted in DYS; late files are not considered.

5. Review and Payment

The application is reviewed by the relevant Exporters' Associations General Secretariat. Before payment, overdue tax and social security debts are checked; any debt may be offset against the support amount. The legislation sets no fixed payment period; timing depends on the file being complete.

No intermediary can guarantee that the support will be paid. Support is paid once the legal conditions are met and the application is approved.
